How can we get more high school counselors to understand and recommend apprenticeship? Please read this "Main Street Report" and respond with both thoughts on the report, and how you might use these recommendations to get more high school counselors to understand and recommend the apprenticeship career path to students.

I live in Fairfax, Virginia and have established initial communications with two County School Education Boards here with Arlington County and Fairfax County to seek endorsement and support for a one day special event titled "Tech Transfer Expo 2012" Fairfax C2C. This one day event tentativly scheduled for a local high school near the Metro Station on a Staurday (based on previously done "Success Model" with "Green Living Expo 2011" via worthy non-profit anchor in Arlngton, VA).

Secondlary goal is to "motivate kids to careers of future". Event is designed to be free to the public and focus is on "tech transfer opportunites' from federal labs and others to small tech biz in life science and physical science.

Have summary and blog to share.
Welcome indication of interest from anyone interested in alliance and advisory board.
